All Things Sparkly

There is a Design Team Reveal up on the Just Imagine Crafts Kreaxions Punches Blog. Be sure to check out the bolg to see what the rest of the design team did for the theme “All Things Sparkly”. I created this {Celebrate} card using the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch #305 with no insert. I made border strips and then attached them to my card base. The Kreaxions punches make the best border strips … not to mention all the things you can do with the punches if you use the stencils and the positioning parts - unlimited possibilities!

Christmas Gift Tag

There is just something special about making your own gift tags for your presents. I made this one using the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch #312 with no insert to punch a snowflake border on the edge of the tag. I then used the negative piece to add some depth. I created the doily using the Kreaxions star stencil and the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch #902 with the A insert. I gave the tag a vintage feel by bleaching the edges of the tag and doily. The snowflake was cut using my Cricut and the Accent Essentials cartridge.

Christmas Project

I was reorganizing some of my scrappy supplies and found a couple of 7 Gypsies Printers Trays in my hoarded supplies … I mean stash. I don’t even know how long I have had these but decided I needed to do something with at least one of them. So with the 7 Gypsies tray and the new Authentique “Glistening” Collection and a few bits and pieces from my stash I completed this Christmas project.

I’m using this project for my December Mini Crop Challenge at Turtle Soup. My challenge is for you to use snow flakes on your altered project, layout, card, tag or ATC. Check out the details in the Turtle Soup Forum. Hope you can find some time during this busy holiday season to play along.

Christmas Gift Boxes

Thinking of small gifts for the grandson’s teachers (that they will actually use) can be a challenge. But who couldn’t use some cute winter printed tissues and some hand sanitizer? I used my Cricut and the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge to make the boxes out of Kraft paper. I used the Kreaxions Star Stencil and the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch # 915 with the A insert to make the doilies.  Adding the doilies, some twine, a button and some jingle bells turned these plain little boxes into cute Christmas gift boxes.

Christmas Banner

I’m sharing a little project that I finished up just in time for the December countdown till Christmas. When I saw the Cozy Collection from My Mind’s Eye, I knew it would be perfect for this banner. I got the tags at the paper store aka Hollo’s Paper Crafts. They were cheap … like 2 or 3 cents apiece. So of course I bought a lot of them. It’s a good thing because I have used them in so many crafty projects. Anyway … I covered the tags with patterned paper and then added all the cute die cuts, so quick and easy. This little banner is a perfect addition to my holiday décor.

Cascade Card

It’s amazing how many different types of card folding techniques are available to use. I’m feeling a little adventurous and have decided to start trying some of them.
First up is a “One Piece Cascade Card”
For the November Design Team Reveal on the Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions Punches Blog I created a cascade card using the following Kreaxions products: the star stencil and punch #921.

A Joyful Christmas

Today is Friday and I am sharing a design team project that I have up on the Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions Punches Blog. I created this Christmas card using the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch  #914  with no insert, creating border strips. I backed part of the cut out on the strip with red circles from a hole punch. I then layered the strips creating the Christmas tree. I love border strips they are so versatile and can be used in so many ways … let the creativity begin!

Tuesday TTT 11/17

Today I’m hosting the Tuesday Tools, Tips and Technique Challenge over at Turtle Soup. Be sure to check out the details in the forum.

I know that every electronic device has a way for you to track your appointments and schedules to stay organized. Call me old fashioned, but I still prefer a paper calendar. And why should it be boring? Use your scrappy supplies to customize your calendar to match your personality.

I started out with a large desk calendar from Office Max.

It has enough space for recording everything I need too.

I just went to work and altered it with left

over scrappy supplies. I love the way this calendar
 turned out … how FUN!

thankful

Today is Friday and I have a Design Team project up on the Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions Punches Blog. I created this fall card using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter and the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch #923 with no insert.

Over the years I have had several circle cutters and this one is by far the best. It’s easy to use and gives accurate and cleanly cut circles every time and anywhere on your paper.

perfect circles every time

Vintage Music Sheet Banner

Today is All Sorts Saturday at Turtle Soup and I have a challenge for you.

I’m no stranger to projects that repurpose vintage book pages or music sheets. I LOVE giving them a new lease on life in a creative way.

I created this banner using white and craft cardstock for the banner base.
I used vintage music sheets for the flowers.

My challenge to you is to create a layout, card, tag, ATC or altered project using a book page or music sheet. Are you one of those people who can’t bring yourself to tear up an old book? No problem just do a Google search. There are lots of sites that have free printable pages for you to use. Be sure to check out the challenge details at Turtle Soup.

November 1st DT Reveal ...

There is a Design Team Reveal up on the Off The Rails Scrapbooking Blog today. Be sure to check out the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team did with the following mood board.  The sponsor this month is Imaginarium Designs.  Be sure to check out their blog and their amazing chipboard designs.

Did you ever just want to create something just for the “Art” of it?
With a tag, a stencil, a stamp, some embellishments, distress inks and some texture paste I went to work. I really did not have a plan as to how I wanted this to turn out … but I love the results!  I can see this little tag finding it's way to a book and being used as a bookmark.

Design Team Reveal / Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions Punches

Today there is a Design Team Reveal up on the Just Imagine Crafts/ Kreaxions Punches Blog. Be sure to check out the blog and see what the rest of the talented design team did this month.

I created two Halloween cards.

For the first card I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch #311 with
no insert and used the negative pieces to create the decorative strips across the card.
Adding some wiggly eyes and BOO finished up this easy card.

For the second card I created a double sided border strip using the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch #904 with no insert. I also used the corner pieces that were left over from punching the border strip.
Adding a cute pumpkin button and Happy Halloween completed this card.

Halloween Treat Cones & A Gift Card Holder

Two projects to share today:

Today I have a challenge up at Turtle Soup for the October Mini Crop.
My challenge to you is to create a Halloween themed treat container. You have until
October 25th to play along.  Check out the details in the Turtle Soup Forum.

My grandson’s teachers will be in for a sweet … or spooky surprise when they receive these Halloween treat cones.  I used some paper that I have had in my stash for at least two years (or longer), so long I don't even remember the manufacturer?!  I used my Cricut and the Winter Woodland cartridge to cut out the cones.

I’m also sharing a Design Team project for the Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions Punches Blog. I made this spooky little gift card holder using the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch #301 (with no insert) and the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch #919 (with the A insert), along with the Star Stencil.
Finding the gift cards will make this the Best Day Ever!
