Lots of circles

I know I have said this before … but the Kreaxions Circle Cutter is one of my favorite crafting tools. It just makes cutting circles so easy. Since I needed a lot of circles to complete this Birthday card it was the perfect tool to use.

And staying true to my goal for this year I created this card by not only using supplies from my scrappy stash but scraps left over from other projects.

I am sticking to my goal and using up my scrappy stash. I had forgotten I had this patterned paper by BasicGrey. All this blue was perfect for the challenge.

Thank You Very Much

It’s Friday and I have a Design Team project up on the Just Imagine Crafts Kreaxions Punches Blog.
I set up a goal this year to use up my scrappy hoard … I mean supplies, I created this Thank You Very Much card using the following:
Patterned Paper is October Afternoon (2011)
Brad is from MME (2011)
Versa Magic Chalk Ink ( I don’t even know how long I’ve had it ?)
The sentiment is a rub-on phrase from who knows where ... and I have not purchased rub-ons in years.

And of course I had to try out some of my new punches!
I used the following Kreaxions products:
Star Stencil, Circle Cutter and the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punches #903, #918 and #923.

Snowflakes

I hate winter, being cold, snow, wearing a coat … you get the picture.

With that being said I do love snowflakes and find them extremely fascinating.

[According to Wikipedia …
A snowflake is either a single ice crystal or an aggregation of ice crystals which falls through the Earth's atmosphere. They begin as snow crystals which develop when microscopic super cooled cloud droplets freeze. Snowflakes come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Complex shapes emerge as the flake moves through differing temperature and humidity regimes, such that individual snowflakes are nearly unique in structure. Snowflakes encapsulated in rime form balls known as graupel. Snowflakes appear white in color despite being made of clear ice. This is due to diffuse reflection of the whole spectrum of light by the small crystal facets.]

The theme for the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog this week is “Winter Wonderland”. I think this snowflake project expresses that perfectly.  I cut my snowflakes out of doilies and then sewed them together.

Make A Wish

The Design Team Reveal is up today on the Just Imagine Crafts Kreaxions Punches Blog. Be sure to check out all the fabulous projects by the Design Team!

I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions but I sometimes have goals in mind for the coming year. This year I want to focus on using up some of my hoarded scrapbooking supplies. I have been wondering why I buy “all these” supplies if I’m not going to use them???

I created this layout for my granddaughter’s album. I used some paper from Me & My Big Ideas that I purchased well over a year ago. I played around with a stencil from TCW Balzer Designs and some Galeria Carvable Modelling Paste, Ranger Ink and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. And that was just the start! I went through my embellishment stash and found some felt accents from Creative Charms, washi tape (from who knows where?) flowers from Imaginisce, a wand I picked up at a Cracker Barrel Restaurant while we were on vacation and some other goodies that were just waiting to be used.

Then I got busy and I used the following Kreaxions products:
Stencil A, the Circle Cutter, Punch # 304 and Positioning Parts 8cm for the inside of the circle.

I find creating a stress reliever … almost like therapy lol!
I’ve come to the conclusion that I need MORE Scrappy time!

A card and a layout

I have two projects to share today:

1) The Monday challenge is up on the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge Blog. This week the challenge is: “Let It Snow”.

January = cold and snow.   I don’t like being cold and I don’t like snow. Since we live in Ohio (and until we retire) I’ll make the best of it. J

It’s Friday and I have a card up on the Just Imagine Crafts Blog. Now that we’re home from a wonderful vacation spent in sunny, warm FL reality is setting in. We’re in OH and this time of year that means cold and snow. I made a card using the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch # 918 (one of my favorites) to make the fancy edges on the white strip of cardstock. I used the negative punched pieces from the Kreaxions 4 in 1 punch # 312 to make the corner accents and the snowflakes. So … Let It Snow!
